Comments:
Such a beautiful jar walk this evening. It was still light when I went out, fading to a clear dusk as I walked. I saw another fox, flocks of plaintive gulls flying home for the evening, a blackbird singing his heart out from the top of a tree and my favourite – the first bat of the year! I wish you could have been with me to share these moments of fragile urban beauty.

Klaudia finds a second jar

Ooh, looks like Mark has some competition – Klaudia has found a second jar.

Number on lid of jar*: 80

I’ve seen or collected a jar*: Collected a jar

Your name (optional): Klaudia

Date jar found (optional): 22/03/11

If you collected a jar, what motivated you to pick it up? (optional):
No73 was lonely on my shelf. Have No73 and No80 met before?

Where is the jar now? (optional): Temporarily still in my bag.

No, Klaudia, those two jars haven’t met before because Jar No. 80 didn’t exist when I released Jar No. 73. Hmm, it had never occurred to me that those of you who have more than one jar (three people so far) are bringing together jars that even I haven’t seen next to each other. What an intriguing thought.

So here, for the rest of us, are Jar No. 80 and Jar No. 73 together:

Comments:
This jar was a challenging delight to photograph. I love the way the tip of the wire just dips into the liquid.

If you tip the jar up, the glycerine coats the inside of the jar and the wire sculpture before very slowly dripping off the ends. It’s mesmerising. I might have to make myself another one to play with.

I got so many great close-ups that it was hard to choose – you can see a couple more over on the 365 Jars set.
