Today I was fortunate enough to meet up with Ruth Churchman from the Creating Ruth blog. We had a delightful lunch and Jar Walk together. Ruth was very patient as I made minute adjustments to this jar in the cafe.

I don’t often Jar Walk with other people and it’s a different but equally enjoyable experience. Although I’m a Borders girl, Lauder is one of those places we mostly just drove through on the way to my aunt and uncle’s house, so it was fun to have a good potter around its back streets.
Incidentally, if you’re ever in the area – for example, hunting a jar – the Flat Cat cafe in Lauder does good baguettes and excellent home-made cakes. They have a good wee gallery and gift shop too.
There we go, I’ve done my bit for the Borders Tourist Board!
Enjoyed meeting you and our not so little jar walk. Thanks for the mention. I will keep an eye on the jar, and promise not to give away it’s location.
Thanks Ruth, I enjoyed it too!
